The price of an Ortho Care on Demand visit varies depending on the doctor. Each doctor sets their own price for the visit. Services include the physician visit, X-ray, primary intervention, cast or splint. Your credit card is charged upfront only after the doctor accepts your visit request and there are no hidden fees.

Please note, for patients under 18 years of age, a legal guardian must be present. Babysitters and caretakers are not legal guardians. Adult patients with legal guardians must also have those legal guardians present and proof of legal guardianship must be established before an Ortho Care on Demand visit can begin. If a legal guardian isn’t present during the visit, the doctor will be unable to proceed with the treatment and the full visit fee will be charged to the credit card associated with the account used to book the visit.

The Ortho Care on Demand visit occurs in a orthopedic surgeon’s office within 50 miles of the zip code entered in your search. Once the doctor confirms your visit the exact location of the doctor’s office will be sent to your mobile device via SMS text (standard carrier charges apply).

Yes, doctors call the patient or authorized guardian that has requested the visit on the mobile number associated with the visit request to discuss estimated time of arrival, this will occur before any visit is accepted. If the doctor believes it is not appropriate for the patient to be seen, the visit request will be cancelled and patient will NOT be charged. After your visit is accepted a confirmation SMS Text message will be sent to you with a local telephone number. Using this local number and the mobile number associated with your visit, you may call the doctor up until the time of your visit. Only the mobile number associated with your visit will be able to complete the call. If you need to make changes to your visit request just contact your doctor on the local number provided or call OCOD support at (844) 626-3776. We will try our best to accommodate but ultimately any changes to confirmed visit are subject to the availability of the doctor.

All availability is solely at the doctor’s discretion. For non-urgent matters we can notify the doctor that you are looking for their services. Just click “notify me” and provide the requested information. Once the doctor becomes available on Ortho Care on Demand you will be contacted by email or SMS text with instructions on how to complete your visit request.

The “notify me” feature is free of charge. No payment information is gathered during a notify me request, only your name and preferred method of contact are needed (text or email).

We accept HSA, FSA and HRA with a valid debit card for those accounts. HSA, FSA and HRA are health savings accounts that issue a debit card to pay for medical expenses.

When you register with Ortho Care on Demand you'll provide your credit card information. Once you request a visit, your credit card will be charged automatically. Your initial charge is the only amount you are responsible for on Ortho Care on Demand. Each urgent orthopedic care visit, regardless of price, covers your primary intervention, X-ray, cast or splint. If you request any additional services, outside of the OCOD visit services, you may be charged by the physician office separately. In the case of a refund, we’ll refund your original form of payment. Please allow 5-10 business days for refunds to process. 

Each urgent orthopedic care visit, regardless of price, entitles you to the OCOD services. OCOD services include primary intervention, X-ray, cast or splint.

Any services outside of the OCOD covered services are handled through the physician office and are NOT covered by the visit fee paid on OCOD. Certain third-party services such as wheelchair rental, custom braces, crutch rental, lab tests(not X-ray), blood tests have additional charges, and will not be performed without your consent. Please ask your doctor for more information on any services needed, outside of the listed OCOD services.

Of course! All visit summaries are generated after your visit once the physician enters the necessary information. Contact us by email to request a copy of your visit summary, if you have not received a notification of your visit summary generation within 15 days of your visit.

Due to federal and state regulations, we can’t accept Medicaid, Medi-Cal, or Medicare.

If this is a true life threatening medical emergency please go directly to the Emergency Room. Ortho Care on Demand provides urgent orthopedic care. The doctors on Ortho Care on Demand can provide treatment for anything you would see your typical orthopedic specialist for, including but not limited to: fractures, sprains, strains, stitches, stitch removal, dislocations, cuts and scrapes, contusions and other musculoskeletal injuries. All Ortho Care on Demand visits include your primary intervention, X-ray, cast or splint. Depending on the reason for your visit, at your doctor’s discretion, they may take X-rays, refer you for additional imaging, or electronically prescribe medications to your preferred pharmacy. Certain third party services, such as MRI and costs of prescriptions, have additional charges.
